A custom jet ski became the centrepiece of a unique brand activation—designed to spark curiosity, capture attention, and share a story on the water.

Sometimes the best brand statements don’t need words. This jet ski, wrapped for XTRATUF and professional surfer Louis Thomas-Hudson, shows how a functional object can become a conversation piece—something that turns heads, invites questions, and brings a brand to life in a bold, physical way.

Unlike traditional advertising, this wasn’t about pushing a message. It was about creating something real and memorable. The wrap design was hand-drawn, carefully layered with symbols, textures and references that connect directly to the brand’s values and the world it lives in. From a distance, it’s striking. Up close, there’s more to discover.

From a distance, it reads simply—a clean blue and white jet ski with the XTRATUF mark. But up close, the detail starts to reveal itself. The wrap is built from symbols and shapes drawn from fishing culture, surf life, and Alaska—references that speak directly to where the brand comes from. Fishermen, creatures of the sea, a scene from the biggest wave spot on earth Nazaré—it’s all woven into the design.

It’s the kind of work people tend to lean into. There’s something satisfying about spotting the elements, piecing together the references, and realising it’s more than just a colour scheme.
